NOTICE
Notice is hereby given by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Funkstown, as its duly constituted legislative body, that a Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, Town Hall, on May 27, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The hearing is being scheduled pursuant to the provisions of the Annotated Code of Maryland and the Charter of the Town of Funkstown, to consider whether or not to introduce, pass and make effective a proposed Ordinance adopting a budget for said Town for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. A complete copy of said proposed budget is on file in the Office of the Town Manager, Town Hall, Funkstown, Maryland. Same may be copied or inspected in that office and it is incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof for convenience and economy. Pursuant to the Maryland Open Meetings Law, notice is hereby given that the deliberations of the Mayor and Council are open to the public. The Mayor and Council will make a determination as to whether or not to revise the quarterly and monthly water rates. The determination will be made at a regular meeting to be held following the Public Hearing or will be made at a meeting to be held at a later date, the date and time of which will be announced.
