NOTICE
Notice is hereby given by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Funkstown, as its duly constituted legislative body, that a Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, Town Hall, on May 27, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The hearing is being scheduled pursuant to the provisions of the Annotated Code of Maryland and the Charter of the Town of Funkstown, to consider whether or not to revise the quarterly and monthly water and sewer rates as they now exist. A copy of the existing rates and proposed revisions are on file in the Office of the Clerk, Town Hall, Funkstown, Maryland. Same may be copied or inspected in that office and it is incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof for convenience and economy. Pursuant to the Maryland Open Meetings Law, notice is hereby given that the deliberations of the Mayor and Council are open to the public. The Mayor and Council will make a determination as to whether or not to revise the quarterly and monthly water and sewer rates. The determination will be made at a regular meeting to be held at a later date, the date and time of which will be announced.
The Record of the Public Hearing will remain open until 4:00 p.m., May 27, 2026 to allow for any additional comments by members of the public. Any comments prior to the Public Hearing submitted prior to 4:00 p.m., May 27, 2026 will be made part of the Record of the Public Hearing. Any person desiring a stenographic transcript shall be responsible for supplying a competent stenographer at their expense.
