PUBLIC HEARING HOPEWELL PLANNING COMMISSION
The Hopewell Planning Commission will conduct public hearings at a meeting on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 300 North Main Street, Hopewell, Virginia 23860, for the purpose of receiving comments regarding the following requests:
CASE 2026-0413: A request submitted by Union Baptist Church Trustees to rezone Sub-Parcel #037-0003, zoned Residential High Density (R-4), to include Individually Protected Landmark designation in accordance with Article XXIII – Historic Preservation, of the Hopewell Zoning Ordinance.
CASE 2026-0496: A conditional use permit request submitted by Laans and Suzy Hokanson to operate a bed-and-breakfast at 510 Cedar Ln., also identified as Parcel #027-0005, located in the TH-1 Tourist Historic District.
