PUBLIC NOTICE City of Buckeye NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Buckeye City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to be held at the City Council Chambers located at 530 E. Monroe Avenue, Buckeye, Arizona, 85326, for the purpose of hearing all persons for or against the following request:
Application PLZU-25-0004: A City-initiated request for a Minor General Plan Amendment to revise the definition of the Employment land use category on Pages 2-14 and 2-15 of the Imagine Buckeye 2040 General Plan. The proposed amendment would allow limited residential uses within large-scale Community Master Plans or Planned Area Developments (1,280 acres or greater) designated Employment, subject to conditions ensuring residential is not the primary land use, is not located near heavy industrial uses, and includes setbacks, buffering, building size limits, and other design measures to mitigate impacts. Residential development would also require pedestrian connections to non-residential areas. Any proposed residential uses would remain discretionary and require City Council approval.
