CITY OF WAUSAU OFFICIAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Public Works of the City of Wausau that it will receive sealed bids for the following project: 2025 WAUSAU WATER WORKS ASBESTOS ABATEMENT Work will include abatement and disposal of asbestos containing building materials from designated spaces in the decommissioned Wausau Water Works Water Treatment Plant. Contract documents for this project may be viewed online or downloaded at www.questcdn.com. The QuestCDN eBidDoc Number for this project is 9855849. There is a non-refundable fee of $42.00 for each set of Contract Documents. For this project bids will only be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button at the top of the bid advertisement. (The on-line bid button will be available when the project is published and ready for bid submitting.) Bids will be received until 10:30 a.m. on September 23, 2025. A mandatory walk through at the site by the bidding contractors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, will execute and file the proposed contract and bonds within ten days after the awarding of the contract. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Board of Public Works. Pre-qualification documents shall be submitted to the Engineering Department no later than 2:00 p.m. on September 15, 2025, and show sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to properly perform the contract in accordance with Section 66.0901, Wisconsin Statutes. The Board's decision as to qualifications shall be final. The pre-qualification form is available on-line at www.wausauwi.gov. The City of Wausau reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract in the best interest of the City of Wausau. A Performance Bond and also a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid price, together with an executed contract in form prescribed by the City of Wausau will be required of the successful bidder.
