Legal Notice of Tree or Shrub Removal Required by South Bend Municipal Code Sec. 19-19   To: Joanne Moore and to all other persons or corporations having or claiming any rights, titles, or interest in the real estate referred to below:   The City of South Bend, acting through its Board of Park Commissioners, hereby notifies you that the (1) Norway Maple Tree (with decay) on your property located at 1049 N Brookfield St (vacant lot) is a violation of Chapter 19 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend.   Therefore, you are ordered by the Board to hire a licensed arborist to remedy this violation within thirty (30) days from the date on this notice. Pursuant to Municipal Code Sec. 19-20, failure to take action will result in liability for the cost of any required labor and will constitute a lien against your property that may be enforced through assessment or court action. The failure of any person to comply with any orders issued by either the Board or the Superintendent of Parks, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 19 of the Municipal Code of South Bend, constitutes a violation of the provisions of the Code and is subject to a fine not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).
