Notice is hereby given of the availability of federal funds through the Office for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention housed in the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. The goal is to improve juvenile justice systems by increasing the availability and types of prevention and intervention programs and juvenile justice system improvements. Eligible applicants are units of general local government or combinations, local private agencies, and Indian tribes that perform law enforcement functions (as determined by the Secretary of the Interior) and that agree to comply with the requirements specified in paragraphs (11), (12), and (13) of the JJDP Act, applicable to the detention and confinement of juveniles. The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement administers and allocates these funds through Evangeline Law Enforcement Council, Inc.
The total amount available to the Evangeline Law Enforcement Council is $41,998. This continuation project will be funded on a 12-month basis. The full board meeting will be held at the Lafayette Police Department on October 28, 2025 at 10am.
