The Scituate Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a hybrid public hearing in the Select Board’s Hearing Room in the Scituate Town Hall located at 600 Chief Justice Cushing Highway and also be accessible via Zoom on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 7:00PM to consider the following request:
Julie & Robert Colburn, 37 Ocean Dr. Scituate, MA 02066 The purpose of this application is to authorize the raze and reconstruct of a single family home, under MGL CH40A & section 810.2 of the Scituate zoning bylaws whereas the minimum square foot area isn't met, as well as the frontage requirement. The property is located at 37 Ocean Dr. Humarock in the R3 Zone, and is on Assessors Map 73 Block 4 Lot 2 and consists of approximately 4,812 square feet. This will result in a betterment to the coastal resource areas because it elevates the structure on a pile supported foundation and allows free flow underneath.
