ELEPHANT BUTTE IRRIGATION DISTRICT NOTICE OF ELECTION   On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, an election will be held to elect members to the Board of Directors of the Elephant Butte Irrigation District for Precincts 2, 4, 6, and 8. Any qualified elector which is defined as one who has attained majority and who is the owner of two or more acres of agricultural land within the District and who is a citizen of the United States, is eligible to be a candidate for Director. In order to have one's name placed on the ballot, not less than thirty (30) days before the election, any twenty (20) or more electors in the District, or any distinctly general farmer's non-profit, cooperative organization or association of the District, may file with the Board of Directors a Petition requesting that certain persons specified in such a petition be placed on the ballots as candidates.   Those desiring more information concerning the placing of names on the ballot should contact the District at 575-993-2429.   GREG DAVIET, President     NOTICIA DE ELECCION   El dia 2 de Diciembre, 2025, habra una eleccion para elegir los miembros de la mesa Directiva del Distrito de Irrigacion, del Elephant Butte para Distrito 2, 4, 6 y 8. Cualquier elector calificado que sea difinido como una persona que ha obtenido la edad de mayoria y que sea propietario de (dos) 2 o mas acres de tierra de agricultura dentro del Distrito y cuidadano de los Estatos Unidos, puede ser eligible como candidato para Director. Cualquier 20 (viente) o mas electores en el Distrito que no reciban beneficios monetarios, pueden registra una peticion con la mesa directiva pidiendo que ciertas personas especificadas en tal peticion sean puestas en la cedula para votar.
