The meeting was called to order at 5:45 pm by President Klinkner. Present: Wendy Brandt, Jennifer Henrickson, Tim Klinkner, Zak Peterson, Gary Shavlik, Randy Williams. Excused: Lori Zimney. Written notice of this meeting was sent to the news media on Friday, Aug 8, 2025. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion by Peterson, second by Shavlik to approve the agenda; motion carried 6-0.
Motion by Brandt, second by Peterson to approve the minutes of the following meetings: Board Regular-Jul 14, 2025, Facility/Technology-Jul 21, 2025, Board Regular-Jul 28, 2025, Policy-Aug 4, 2025; motion carried 6-0.
Recognition of Invited Guests - Summer School Principal-Kozlowski shared the glows and grows of Summer School. Principal Bauknecht and the Magee Elementary Guiding Coalition team: Katrina B., Briana S., Katie W., presented their 2024-2025 Academic and Character goals report. Thank you!

FINANCIAL STATEMENTS: Motion by Henrickson, second by Williams to approve the bills to be paid for July 2025 in the amount of $832,539.67; motion carried 6-0. Motion by Williams, second by Brandt to approve the Referendum bills #2 to be paid for July 2025 in the amount of $591,217.70; motion carried 6-0. The Financial Statements for June 2025 will be shared at a later date. BOARD COMMITTEE REPORTS: Facility/Technology - Williams shared a brief Aug 11 report. Next meeting - Aug 27, 6:30 pm. Policy - Henrickson shared the Aug 4 report - First reading of Vol. 34, No 2, May 2025, Next meeting Jan 2026.

NEW BUSINESS: Motion by Peterson, second by Williams to accept the resignation of Nicholas Spencer, Grade 3 Teacher, Koenig Elementary School, pending collection of liquidated damages; motion carried 6-0. Motion by Peterson, second by Brandt to approve the contract for Allyson Verbauwhede, Grade 1 Teacher, for Koenig Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year; motion carried 6-0 on a roll call vote. Motion by Peterson, second by Brandt to approve the contract for Brian Holm, Grade 3 Teacher, for Koenig Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year; motion carried 6-0 on a roll call vote. ADMINISTRATOR UPDATE(S): On behalf of Klein, Johnson summarized the Seclusion and Restraint Report (per policy 5630.01). Johnson discussed the upcoming new/all staff training and provided a detailed state budget projection.

Motion by Shavlik, second by Peterson to adjourn to Closed Session under State Statute 19.85 (1)(f) for the purpose of discussion: Considering personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons at 6:52 pm; motion carried 6-0 on a roll call vote.
Motion by Williams, second be Henrickson to convene into Regular Session for the purpose of considering motions as a result of Closed Session at 7:28 pm; motion carried 6-0. Motion by Henrickson, second by Williams to approve the motion as discussed in closed session; motion carried 6-0 on roll call vote.
Motion by Shavlik, second by Brandt to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 pm; motion carried.
