Take notice that the Hearing Officer does hereby find the above-referenced address violates the City Minimum Housing Code (Chapter 16, Article V of the City Code) and the standards set forth therein, is unfit for human habitation, and dilapidated as outlined within the Findings of Fact and Orders issued on September 9, 2025.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the owner of the dwelling named and designated be and are hereby ordered and required to bring such dwelling into compliance with the Minimum Housing Code of the City of Wilmington, North Carolina, by repairing and improving the dwelling to render it fit for human habitation, or demolishing and removing the dwelling, not later than:
1509 S. 12th St: December 9, 2025
1809 Nun St: December 9, 2025
923 S. 6th St: March 9, 2026
If the owner of the dwelling fails to bring such dwellings into compliance with the Minimum Housing Code as ordered by the date designated above, the offender shall be subjected to a civil penalty of $100.00 per day for each day that the
violation continues and the housing inspector shall file a report with the City Council of the City of Wilmington which may, after a public hearing, cause the repair or demolition of such dwelling and the costs for same shall be a lien upon the property in accordance with Section 16-232 of the Minimum Housing Code. Any appeal to the Housing Appeals Board must be taken within ten (10) days from receipt of the order and shall be taken by filing with the Minimum Housing Hearing Officer a Notice of Appeal that specifies the grounds upon which an appeal is made.
