NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING   TAKE NOTICE that the Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 5:00 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 205 Old Mill Road, Suite 2, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372. At the hearing, the Board will consider Judy Keiper-Cherepko’s appeal from the Zoning Officer’s July 18, 2025 denial of her zoning permit application. The denial was based on the Zoning Officer’s determination that Ms. Keiper-Cherepko proposed to construct a new dwelling in the 40-foot front yard setback established by § 470-24(C) of the Pocono Township Zoning Ordinance. In addition to her challenge of the Zoning Officer’s determination, she alternatively seeks a variance from § 470-24(C) of the Zoning Ordinance.   Judy Keiper-Cherepko is the owner of record of the subject property, which is located at 1305 Cerise Way, East Stroudsburg, Pocono Township, Pennsylvania in the R-1 district. The property is also identified as Parcel ID No. 12.3.1.28-17 and Map No. 12-6383-03-14-8630.   The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may participate in the proceedings.
