ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 2025 WATER MAIN EXTENSION CITY OF FOND DU LAC, WISCONSIN FILE NO. 2025-088 Owner and Work: The City of Fond du Lac hereby gives notice that public bids will be received for the 2025 Water Main Extension Project. The project includes but is not limited to the following approximate quantities of work: Furnish, Install and Construct: 390 LF Water Main Construction 2280 LF 12" Directional Drilling 1370 SY Erosion Matt and Lawn Restoration 150 TONS Crushed Aggregate Base 20 TONS Asphalt Pavement Time and Place of Bid Opening: Sealed proposals will be received at the City Administrative Offices, on the fourth floor of the Fond du Lac City County Government Center, 160 South Macy Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, until 2:00 PM CST, on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Prepare proposals on the proposal forms provided in the specifications. Submit proposals in person or by mail addressed to City of Fond du Lac, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, 54936-0150. Identify "SEALED BID – 2025 WATER MAIN EXTENSION" on the face of each proposal envelope. As soon as practical, after the closing time to receive proposals, a public opening will be held in the City Manager's Conference Room. A summary of the proposals will be made available. Pre-Bid Qualifications: All bidders shall be required to file or have on file a valid 2025 Bidder's Proof of Responsibility form with the Engineering Division, not less than 5 days prior to the time of opening of these bids. Only bidders who have demonstrated their qualifications to perform the work will be permitted to bid. Proposal Guaranty: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty, payable to the City of Fond du Lac, in the amount of 5% of the gross bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted as the successful bid, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and performance bond within 10 days after award of contract. Legal Provisions: This contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of sections 62.15, 66.0901, and 779.14 of Wisconsin Statutes.
