LEGAL NOTICE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES BEFORE THE DIRECTOR In the matter of Application No. 59-242885.0000 for a Permit to Withdraw Groundwater for General Industrial Use located within the Rainbow Valley Sub-basin of the Phoenix Active Management Area; The Director gives notice that Gerben Boschma Dairy (Applicant) has filed the above referenced application for a Permit to Withdraw Groundwater for Groundwater for General Industrial Use pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 45, Chapter 2, Article 7, § 45-515. It is the Applicant’s intent to use groundwater under this application for dairy operations. The Applicant intends to drill two (2) new wells located within Section 34 Township 2 South, Range 2 West, of the Gila Salt River Baseline and Meridian. A total of 522.44 acre-feet per annum have been requested for period of 50 years. A copy of the application is available for review at the Department, or electronically, upon receipt of a public records request. For this application, the final date on which an objection may be filed is October 10, 2025. Objections are limited to whether the application meets the criteria of Arizona Revised § 45-515. An objection shall state the name and mailing address of the objector, be signed by the objector, his agent or attorney and must clearly set forth the reasons why the permit should not be issued.
