September 2025 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF NILES, MICHIGAN Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Niles, Michigan in the office of the City Clerk until 2:00 P.M. Local Time, on Monday, October 6th, 2025. Electronic Proposals will not be accepted. At that date, time, and location the proposals will be opened in the City Hall 3rd floor Conference Room and read aloud for the following project in the City of Niles: REMOVAL OF 90 DEAD, DYING, OR DANGEROUS TREES AND REMOVAL OF 93 STUMPS The proposal and contract forms as well as the plans and specifications under which the work will be done are on file and may be examined at the Department of Public Works office, City Hall, 333 N. 2nd St., Niles, Michigan 49120, (269) 683-4700, ext. 3050. Copies thereof may be obtained from the Office of the Public Works Director. All bidders are required to sign a certification that they will comply with all Federal and State non-discrimination laws and regulations. A certified check or bidder's bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal will be required with each proposal. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities in proposals and to accept the proposal, which in the opinion of the City Council is most advantageous to the City. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of receiving bids.
