NOTICE is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Hagerstown Board of Zoning Appeals at 7:00 p.m., in the 1st Floor meeting room, City Hall, 1 East Franklin Street, Hagerstown, MD. On Thursday, October 9, 2025. At that time, parties of interest and citizens will have the opportunity to be heard relative to the following application:
Case No. Z 2024-05 — To continue a hearing begun on June 12 for an application for a change of a non conforming use made by Jose Sanchez to convert part of an existing retail space in a mixed-use building to a dwelling unit for the property located at 633 West Franklin Street, in the RMED (Residential:
Medium Density) Zoning District, per Section M.7.a (4) of the Zoning Ordinance (Article 4 of the Land Management Code).
Case No. Z-2025-06 — To hear an application for a variance made by Kristin B. Aleshire to reduce the required 100' lot width to 25 feet and the required 20,000 square feet lot size to 3,750 square feet at the property located at 1215 Virginia Avenue in the RMOD zoning district, per section F.4.5.at a, Article 4 of the Land Management Code in order to subdivide a property containing a single family dwelling and a barn.
Case No. Z-2025-08 —To hear an application for a variance made by Gideon Properties to reduce the required 15 foot front yard setback to 5 feet and a special exception for an infant only daycare at the property located at 382 South Cleveland Avenue in the RMED zoning district, per section F.5.a, Article 4 of the Land Management Code.
