Pursuant to Chapter 59-1698, Special Act, Laws of Florida, The Florida Department of Health, Palm Beach County (Department) is amending the Palm Beach County Rules and Regulations governing Child Care Facilities. The Department is holding a public comment workshop(s)on its proposed amended rules to which all persons are invited. The workshop will be held on: Date and Time: October 30, 2025, at 9:00am Place: 800 Clematis Street, 1st Floor West Palm Beach, FL 33401 General Subject Matter to be considered/anticipated affected parties: The Department is the regulatory authority for Child Care Facilities in Palm Beach County. The Department is required to be as strict or stricter than the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF). DCF regulates sixty-three counties in the State of Florida. In an effort to simplify the rules for providers, while still maintaining safe and thriving Child Care facilities, the Department is proposing amending its rules to be more in line with DCF’s current rules. This will allow the County to provide quality care while maintaining safety for children and stricter regulations where the Departments deems necessary.
