NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS REGARDING DECISION
TO ISSUE BONDS OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION,
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY,
INDIANA
The taxpayers of the South Bend Community School Corporation, St. Joseph County, Indiana (the “School Corporation”), are hereby notified that on September 17, 2025, the Board of School Trustees of the School Corporation (the “Board”), adopted a resolution which determined that the School Corporation will issue general obligation bonds of the School Corporation, payable out of ad valorem property taxes collected by the School Corporation on all taxable property within the geographical boundaries of the School Corporation, to be designated “South Bend Community School Corporation General Obligation Bonds, Series 2025A” in an original aggregate principal amount not to exceed Six Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($6,600,000), with a final maturity ending no later than July 15, 2035, and bearing interest at a rate or rates not exceeding five and one-half percent (5.50%), the exact rate or rates to be determined by bidding or negotiation (the “Bonds”). The proceeds of the Bonds will be used to pay for all or a portion of the cost of (i) the replacement of all or any portion of the existing roofs at Adams High School, Clay International Academy, Darden Elementary School, Jackson Middle School, Marshall Traditional School, Riley High School, Rise Up Academy, and Studebaker Elementary School, and (ii) all projects related to the improvement projects described in clause (i).
