CITY OF BAYONNE PLANNING BOARD   NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OCTOBER 14, 2025   PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Bayonne Planning Board will hold a meeting on October 14, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. to investigate a delineated area within the City of Bayonne located at 485 Avenue C, 487-493 Avenue C and 64-66 West 22nd Street that is identified as Block 209, Lots 22, 23.01 and 27 as shown on the Official Tax Map of the City of Bayonne (the “Study Area”).   The purpose of the investigation is to determine whether such delineated area should be designated a non-condemnation area in need of redevelopment pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq. (Local Redevelopment and Housing Law), which determination, if so made, shall, among other things, authorize the City to use all of the powers provided by the Legislature for use in a redevelopment area, however, it shall not authorize the City to exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire property. A map showing the boundaries of the Study Area located at 485 Avenue C, 487-493 Avenue C and 64-66 West 22nd Street that is identified as Block 209, Lots 22, 23.01 and 27, and a statement setting forth the basis of the preliminary investigation are available for inspection and copying by the public during normal business hours at the Office of the Clerk of the City of Bayonne, City Hall/Municipal Building, 630 Avenue C, Bayonne, New Jersey.   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bayonne Planning Board will conduct the live in-person public hearing on October 14, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Bayonne City Hall, City Council Chambers, 630 Avenue C, Bayonne, New Jersey 07002.   The exhibits for this non-condemnation area in need of redevelopment investigation and public hearing will be available to review online at least ten (10) days prior to the October 14, 2025 public hearing.
