NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
OCTOBER 14, 2025
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Bayonne Planning Board will hold a meeting on October 14, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. to investigate a delineated area within the City of Bayonne located at 104-108 West 7th Street that is identified as Block 314, Lot 44.01 as shown on the Official Tax Map of the City of Bayonne (the “Study Area”).
The purpose of the investigation is to determine whether such delineated area should be designated a non-condemnation area in need of redevelopment pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq. (Local Redevelopment and Housing Law), which determination, if so made, shall, among other things, authorize the City to use all of the powers provided by the Legislature for use in a redevelopment area, however, it shall not authorize the City to exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire property. A map showing the boundaries of the Study Area located at 104-108 West 7th Street that is identified as Block 314, Lot 44.01, and a statement setting forth the basis of the preliminary investigation are available for inspection and copying by the public during normal business hours at the Office of the Clerk of the City of Bayonne, City Hall/Municipal Building, 630 Avenue C, Bayonne, New Jersey.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bayonne Planning Board will conduct the live in-person public hearing on October 14, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Bayonne City Hall, City Council Chambers, 630 Avenue C, Bayonne, New Jersey 07002.
The exhibits for this non-condemnation area in need of redevelopment investigation and public hearing will be available to review online at least ten (10) days prior to the October 14, 2025 public hearing. In order to view the exhibits, please visit the City of Bayonne’s website at https://www.bayonnenj.org. On the home page, click on PB MEETING EXHIBITS.
The exhibits will also be available for inspection by the public at Bayonne City Hall by appointment. You may contact Alicia Losonczy, Land Use Administrator, during regular business hours at 201-858-6182 or ALosonczy@BayNJ.org to make an appointment to review the exhibits.
At this hearing, which may be adjourned from time to time, the Planning Board will hear all persons who are interested in or would be affected by a determination that the property(s) within the City qualify as a non-condemnation redevelopment area. You may appear either in person or by attorney and present any objections or concerns you may have. All objections to such a determination and evidence in support of those objections, must be given in person and shall be recorded and made part of the public record.
