Commission and York City Zoning Hearing Board
Public Notice
The York City Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on October 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The York City Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearings on October 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Both meetings will be at 101 South George Street in City Council Chambers. Comments and questions may be directed to the City Planner or Zoning Officer at (717) 849-2280.
The Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board will hear the following items:
Case 27-2025-Z-V - 476 W. Market St. – Michael Dowery applied for a variance to convert a single-family dwelling into an apartment combined with commercial.
Case 28-2025-Z-V – 464 W. Market St. – RB Development/Doctor’s Row 462, LLC applied for a special exception to convert an existing/vacant building to multi-family affordable housing for seniors with 8 efficiency and 7 one-bedroom apartments. There are 4 variances requested: maximum total impervious/minimum open space (these may be exisiting nonconformities), units per acre, off-street parking and width of parking stalls and aisles.
Rosa Taveras applied for 2 variances for a beauty salon and parking.
Case 29-2025-Z-V – 373 W. Market St. – Mustafa Jamison applied for a variance to operate a group home and a variance to have 18 residents.
