INVITATION FOR BIDS
LOW VOLTAGE CABLE INSTALLATION PROJECT – ALL SSA LOCATIONS
CONTRACT NO. 05-2025
The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority will accept sealed bids during regular business hours for the "Low Voltage Cable Installation Project – All SSA Locations" until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Steamship Authority's Procurement Office, located at 228 Palmer Avenue, Room 207, Falmouth, MA 02540, at which time and place they will be publicly opened.

The proposed scope of work requires installing low voltage cabling at all Steamship locations including Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Actual work would be installation, terminate and test low-voltage network cabling including but not limited to Cat6 for data and fiber optic OM4. Project is further described in the bid documents.
All work is anticipated to start early December 2025 with completion within one year or early December 2026.
The Contractor will be required to pay prevailing rates of wages for all work performed on the project in accordance with the schedule of minimum wage rates issued for this project by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Division of Occupational Safety under the provisions of Mass. G.L.c.149, §§ 26 and 27
All bids submitted for the Contract must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the "Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority" in the name of which the contract for the work is to be executed. The amount of such bid deposit shall be five percent (5%) of the TOTAL CONTRACT PRICE set forth in the bid.
The Steamship Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to modify or amend with the consent of the bidder any bid prior to acceptance, and to waive any informality, all as the Authority in its sole judgment and discretion may deem to be in the public interest.
