The Washington Township Board of Supervisors at their regular monthly Board meeting held on October 20, 2025, 1:30 P.M. at the Washington Township Municipal Building, 11798 Buchanan Trail E., Waynesboro, (Washington Township), Franklin County, Pennsylvania, intend to amend the Washington Township Code by amending the Zoning ordinance as it relates to parking, duplex lot size, and maximum lot coverage in Agricultural Districts. ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING CHAPTER OF THE WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP CODE AS IT RELATES TO PARKING, DUPLEX LOT SIZE, AND MAXIMUM LOT COVERAGE IN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS
The first part of the Ordinance sets forth the background and legal authority for enacting the Ordinance.
Section 1 amends the current Chapter 360 of the Washington Township Code as follows:
Subsection 1 amends § 360-63(A) by adding a maximum lot coverage for all structures of 50%.
Subsection 2 amends § 360-72(D)(1)(a)(6) to require two off-street parking spaces when accessed by private road, three when accessed by public street.
Subsection 3 amends § 360-76(D)(1)(a)(6) to require two off-street parking spaces when accessed by private road, three when accessed by public street.
Subsection 4 amends § 360-92 by adding subsection (C), which sets out minimum lot and building requirements for duplexes in Commercial Neighborhood Districts.
Subsection 5 amends § 360-126(B)(1) to correct a misspelling of the word “filed”.
Sections 2, 3, and 4 contain severability, repeal, and effective date provisions.
