ADVERTISEMENT AND INVITATION FOR BIDS
The San Patricio County will receive bids for Taft and Sinton channel widening projects for Drainage improvements until 2:00 PM on October 17, 2025, at 1301 E. Sinton Street, Suite C, Commissioners Courtroom. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 PM on October 17, 2025, at 1301 E. Sinton Street, Suite C, Commissioners Courtroom.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work, as follows: Deepen and widen existing outfall channels and ditches, reconstruct bridges and trestles, and harden ditch stretches that are subject to erosion, and complete all associated appurtenances.
1. Taft NW Drainage Channel, approximately 6,700 LF of Drainage Improvements
2. Sinton South Drainage Channel, approximately 18,500 LF of Drainage Improvements
Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at 1301 E. Sinton Street, Suite C and may be viewed during business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents may be obtained from www.CivcastUSA.com. Bidders must register on this website in order to view and/or download plans and specifications for this project. There is NO charge to view or download documents from the website.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. This project is funded by the Texas General Land Office (GLO) under the Community Development Block Grant Regional Mitigation (MIT MOD) Program.
San Patricio County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by San Patricio County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.

All contractors/subcontractors must not be debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). An Active SAM Registration through SAM.gov is required to be considered eligible to work on this project.
The County reserves the right to award contracts for one, both, or neither of the project sites described herein (Taft Channel and Sinton Channel). The County may, at its sole discretion, award the projects to a single contractor, award each project to separate contractors, or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, as deemed most advantageous.”
