LEGAL NOTICE Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Hurricane Helene Disaster-Related Engineering Services PROPOSAL PACKET   The Double Island Fire Department (DIFD) in Yancey County, NC, sustained substantial damage to roads, drainage systems, and essential infrastructure following Hurricane Helene. As part of the recovery effort, DIFD is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide disaster recovery and engineering services.   This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is issued to identify firms capable of fulfilling these needs. The RFQ is for planning purposes only and does not guarantee an award. All submissions will be reviewed by DIFD leadership, and contracts may be awarded at the department’s discretion.
