HEARING
NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Rancho Mirage, California, will Conduct a Public Hearing Regarding the Intention to Annex Territory to an Existing Community Facilities District and Authorize Special Tax Annexation No. 200, Section 31, Town Center as follows:

The City Council will hear all evidence and testimony by all interested persons, property owners, voters and taxpayers, relating to the annexation of certain territory and property to an existing community facilities district for the purpose of providing public services to be financed through the levy of a special tax. For particulars, reference is made to the resolution of intention as set forth below:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE CITY’S INTENTION TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 1 AND TO LEVY A SPECIAL TAX THEREIN FOR ADDITIONAL POLICE AND FIRE SERVICES, PRELIMINARILY APPROVING A MAP OF THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED, AND SCHEDULING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ANNEXATION AND THE LEVY OF SPECIAL TAX FOR ANNEXATION NO. 200
WHEREAS, on September 27, 1990, the City Council (the “City Council”) of the City of Rancho Mirage (the “City”), a charter city and recognized for certain purposes as a political subdivision of the State of California, approved Resolution No. 90-78 establishing Community Facilities District No. 1 (the "District") pursuant to the Mello-Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982 (the “Mello-Roos Act,” Government Code §§ 53311 et. seq.), for the purpose of levying a special tax on parcels to provide funding for additional police and fire services, which are necessary to meet increased demands placed upon the City as a result of the development of the territory within the District; and
WHEREAS, under the Mello-Roos Act, the City Council, as the legislative body for the District, is empowered with the authority to annex territory to the District; and… [NOTE: The full text of Resolution No. 2025-37 may be viewed at the Rancho Mirage City Clerk’s Office during regular business hours, Monday-Friday.]
(The proposed territory to be annexed is located in Section 31, approximately 650 feet south from the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Gerald Ford Drive, on the west side of Monterey Avenue and generally known as Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 685-220-047, 685-220-048, 685-540-035, 685-540-036, 685-540-038, and 685-550-047 containing approximately 72.88 acres.)
