NOTICE OF CURRENT PROPERTY TAXES DUE Made pursuant to Sections (§2605, §2606, §2609) Revenue and Taxation Code   Lori J. Scott, Shasta County Tax Collector, hereby announces that regular secured tax bills will be mailed on or before October 31, 2025 to all property owners, at the addresses shown on the tax roll. If you own property in Shasta County, the county listed in this notice, and do not receive a tax bill by November 10, contact the tax collector's office, at 1450 Court Street, Suite 227, Redding, CA 96001 or call (530) 225-5511.   Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility to make timely payments.   The FIRST INSTALLMENT of 2025-2026 taxes is due and payable on November 1, 2025 (§2605) and will become delinquent if not paid by 5 p.m. on December 10, 2025 (§2617, §2704); thereafter a 10% penalty will be added. For electronic payments, payment is accepted until midnight December 10. The SECOND INSTALLMENT is due on February 1, 2026 Section (§2606) and will become delinquent if not paid by 5 p.m. on April 10, 2026 (§2618, §2705); thereafter a 10% penalty will be added plus the cost to prepare the delinquent tax records and to give notice of delinquency. For electronic payments, payment is accepted until midnight April 10.   BOTH INSTALLMENTS MAY BE PAID when the first installment is due.   Payments may be made by electronic funds transfer or by mail sent to Shasta County Tax Collector, P.O. Box 991830, Redding, CA 96099. Mailed payments must be POSTMARKED BY THE DELINQUENT DATE to avoid late penalties.
