TAKE NOTICE that Plaintiffs have filed a petition with the Augusta County Circuit Court pursuant to §§ 64.2-2300 et seq. of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, seeking a determination of the presumed death of Defendant, Keith Todd Whitmore, whose last known address was 454 Avis Road, Greenville, Virginia, and whose whereabouts have been unknown and who has not been heard from for at least sevén years. The Court has scheduled a hearing on Plaintiffs' petition on November 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. to be held at the Augusta County Courthouse, 1 East Johnson Street, Staunton, Virginia. If the Court enters an Order declaring Defendant dead, the Court may proceed to admit a Will to probate, issue letters of administration, or establish claims of the presumed decedent's successors in interest. Defendant and anyone on his behalf are advised to protect their interests accordingly.
Pursuant to § 64.2-2304 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, the Court ORDERS that the above notice be published once a week for four (4) successive weeks in the News Leader, a newspaper of general circulation in Augusta County. The Clerk of this Court shall post a copy of this Order at the front door of the courthouse.
And this cause is continued.
