LEGAL NOTICE   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Durham Township Zoning Hearing Board will conduct Public Hearings on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Durham Township Municipal Building, 215 Old Furnace Road, Durham, PA to consider the following:   1. The application of James and Rachel Spies concerning a property located at 5250 Lehnenberg Road, Kintnersville, PA 18930, also known as Tax Map Parcel No. 11-005-87.001. The property is located in the Township’s AP – Agricultural Preservation zoning district. The Applicant is seeking a variance from Section 601.B of the Durham Township Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a pole barn in the front yard setback of the property.   2. The application of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham concerning a property located at 821 Durham Road, Durham, PA 18039, also known as Tax Map Parcel No. 11-002-053. The property is located in the Township’s AP – Agricultural Preservation zoning district. The Applicant is seeking the following variances: (1) from Section 502 concerning installing buffer yards; (2) from Section 601.B.4(b) to exceed impervious surface limits; and (3) from Section 601.B.4(d) to allow for construction of portions of an addition in the front and side yard setbacks. The Applicant is also seeking a special exception pursuant to Section 1102.B to permit expansion of the existing building area containing a nonconforming use by more than 5 percent.   Interested persons may review the applications, any site plans and related filed documents during normal business hours Monday through Friday prior to the hearing.
