HEARING BY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS
ON A PETITION TO VACATE PUBLIC
RIGHT-OF-WAY
Notice is hereby given that a joint Public Hearing will be held by the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Codington County Court House to consider in full or in part the following proposed vacation of a public street right-of-way.
• A petition has been filed by Suzanne Kay Brook, David E. Carlson, and Benedictine Sisters of the Mother of God Monastery, to have Codington County vacate the public access and public road lying between Lots 3 and 4, and Lot 13 of the Plat of Lots 1 through 13 of Polze Subdivision in Government Lot 4, Section 17-T116N-R53, West of the 5th P.M., Codington County, South Dakota.
The physical location of this meeting is at the Codington County Court House located at 14 1st Ave. SE, Watertown, SD. This meeting will also be held virtually over a teleconference platform. All persons interested may appear and be heard before the County Commission in person or at said hearing.

Written comments may be filed with the Auditor on or before Friday, October 24, 2025. Contact the Auditor at (605) 882-6297 to make arrangements to submit written materials before then. No materials will be placed on the above website after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025.
