NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION PALMYRA TOWNSHIP Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Resolutions passed on June 3, 2025 and July 8, 2025 by the Palmyra Township Trustees, Portage County, Ohio, there will be submitted to a vote of the electors of Palmyra Township at a General Election to be held in said Township at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the question of a renewal of a 2 mill levy and increase of 1 mill for fire and emergency medical services. Tax being a renewal of 2 mills and an increase of 1 mill that the county auditor estimates will collect $220,585 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $74 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
