NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION SPRINGFIELD LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of resolutions of the Board of Education of the Springfield Local School District, Portage and Summit counties passed on June 30, 2025 and July 15, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people of the Springfield Local School District at a General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the question of a renewal in the sum of $1,500,000 annually for the purpose of emergency requirements. The estimated tax outside of the ten-mill limitation necessary to raise that annual amount as certified by the county auditor is to average 2.57 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $79 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027. The polls for said election will be open at 6:30 a.m., and will remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
