NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION WVFD JOINT FIRE DISTRICT Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Resolutions passed on April 10, 2025 and June 12, 2025 by the WVFD Joint Fire District Trustees, Portage County, Ohio, there will be submitted to a vote of the electors of the WVFD Joint Fire District at a General Election to be held in said District at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the question of a renewal of a tax levy for fire and emergency medical services. Tax being a renewal of a 4 mills tax levy that the county auditor estimates will collect $197,443 annually, at a rate not exceeding 4 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $77 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2025, first due in calendar year 2026.
