ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS   Sealed proposals will be received by Alabama Public Library Service at the Alabama Public Library Service Building, 6030 Monticello Drive, Montgomery, AL 36130 until 2:00 PM CST November 6, 2025, for   Alabama Public Library Service Upper-Level Restroom Finish Improvements (Drawings and Specifications Dated for October 2025)   at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to Alabama Public Library Service in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.   Drawings and specifications may be examined at the office of Seay, Seay & Litchfield Architects, 1115 South Court Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104 and appropriate plan rooms. Electronic files of the Bid Documents may be viewed and downloaded online free of charge via the Architect’s online plan-room at www.sslarch.com/aboutus by accessing the Info Exchange Login. Questions pertaining to accessing the website should be directed to Quinton Jones (qjones@sslarch.com) at Seay, Seay & Litchfield, P.C. at (334) 263-5162. These documents shall be used only for the purpose of bidding and construction of this project. Anyone logging into the site for plans and specifications through the website will be notified of all addenda via email. The architect retains all copyrights and ownership of the documents.   A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM central time, at the Alabama Public Library Service Building located at 6030 Monticello Drive, Montgomery, AL 36130. Interested bidders are required to attend.   Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect (Engineer) or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect (Engineer); the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered.
