PUBLIC NOTICE Please take notice that the Board of Supervisors of East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, scheduled a Public Hearing for Monday, October 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., East Hanover Township Bldg. 1117 School House Road, Annville, PA 17003 regarding modifications to East Hanover Township Zoning Ordinance. The earliest East Hanover Township Supervisors may take formal action to adopt the proposed zoning amendments is Monday, October 27, 2025, at the regularly scheduled meeting at 7:30 p.m. A summary of the text amendments to the zoning ordinance are as follows: 1) Revisions to definitions in Article I, §250-2, including updates and additions for terms such as “Accessory Apartment,” “Detached Accessory Apartment,” “Fence,” “Hedge,” “Wall,” “Wall, Retaining,” “Reverse Frontage Lot,” and a Yards Diagram. 2) Modifications to special exception use provisions in Article VI, §250-24; Article VIII, §250-41; and Article IX, §250-51 to include accessory and detached accessory apartments. 3) Comprehensive updates to fence, wall, and hedge regulations in Article XIX, §250-173, including height limits, placement standards, materials, and safety requirements. 4) Clarification of expansion limits for nonconforming structures in Article XXII, §250-231.B(1)(b). 5) New provisions for voluntary replacement of nonconforming structures or structures housing nonconforming uses in §250-231.1. 6) Revised criteria and application procedures for accessory apartments in Article XXV, §250-242; and revised criteria and application procedures for detached accessory apartments in §250-246. The ordinance also provides for severability and repealer and an effective date within five (5) days following enactment.
