MUNICIPAL MINUTES
September 4, 2025

Woodworth Municipal Building
The Mayor and Council Members met in regular session on September 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. with Mayor Butler presiding and the following present:
David C. Butler, II, Mayor
Wesley C. Lemoine, Town Clerk
Kristen Hebert Fire Department
James P. Gonzales, Chief of Police
Thomas C. David, Jr., Engineer
Charles “Chuck” Reich, Council Member
Jimmie S. Cranford, Council Member
Lisa A. Aymond, Council Member
Carrie Harrington, Council Member
Mayor Butler called the meeting to order further stating there was a quorum. Mrs. Dorothy Gunter led in the invocation and Police Chief James Gonzales led in the pledge of allegiance.
The public in attendance was asked if they had any comments on any agenda items, there were none.
Approval of the minutes of the Regular Council meeting of August 7, 2025, was made by Council Member Cranford and seconded by Council Member Reich, said motion was approved by unanimous vote.
Approval of all monthly invoices was made by Council Member Aymond, seconded by Council Member Harrington, said motion was approved by unanimous vote.

New business:
Mr. Thomas C. David, Jr., reported on the town’s current projects. The new Fire Station is closing out. The Brookwood subdivision project has been completed. PHMSA drawings are close to completion and will be between 50-60 pages. The design approach has been changed for the water sector grant package, and all 3 entities have signed the agreements. A main pipe will be laid, and a new pump station will be put in. The FEMA grant for protective levying of the sewer plant will have plans ready by October 2, 2025.
Res. No. 1941-25, pertaining to Appointment of Council Member was made by Council Member Reich, seconded by Council Member Cranford, thus passing by unanimous vote.
Res. No. 1942-25, pertaining to Nation Hunting and Fishing Day (September 27, 2025) was made by Council Member Aymond, seconded by Council Member Harrington, thus passing by unanimous vote.
Res. No. 1943-25, pertaining to Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire was made by Council Member Reich, seconded by Council Member Aymond thus passing by unanimous vote.
The Mayor, Fire Department and Chief of Police all gave monthly reports.
Upon motion by Council Member Aymond, seconded by Council Member Reich, the town meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote.
