NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS CONCERNING
ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF UNION CITY, INDIANA
Residents and taxpayers of the City of Union City, Indiana (the "City") are hereby notified that the Common Council will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. local time, on October 27, 2025, in the Union City Council Chambers at 111 N Columbia St., Union City, IN 47390, on the matter of appropriating funds for the purpose of paying for (a) various capital projects in the City as well as equipment needed for City departments and (b) paying the costs of issuing and selling the bonds payable from ad valorem property taxes levied on property within the City (the "Bonds"). Such appropriation will be an amount not to exceed $560,000 plus any investment earnings thereon. Funds to cover said appropriation are to be provided from the proceeds of Bonds together with any investment earnings thereon.
The appropriations are in addition to any appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy. At the public hearings, all persons shall have the right to appear and be heard on the necessity of said appropriations.
