NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS
The Calhoun County School Board will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing professional services for the following project:
Blountstown High School Stadium Drainage Project
This project will include restoring stormwater pipe connections through concrete collars, replacing sections of existing stormwater pipe, repairing concrete sidewalk and asphalt driveway, desilting stormwater pipe, installing a new stormwater structure, and regrading swales.
Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. For questions, please contact Colton Purvis at (850) 674-3300 or cpurvis@dewberry.com. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.
Completion date for this project will be 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $1,000.00 per day.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on October28, 2025, at 10:00 am (CT) at the Blountstown High SchoolFootball Field, located at 17586 Main Street North (directly behind the Calhoun County School District Office).
Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for “Blountstown High School Stadium Drainage Project”.
Bids will be received until 2:00 pm (CT) on Friday, November7th, 2025at the Calhoun County School Board, 17586 Main Street North, Blountstown, FL 32424, and will be opened and read aloud on Friday, November 7th, 2005at 2:05 pm CT. Contractor selection will be at the School Board Meeting at 5:00 pm (CT) on Tuesday, November 11th,2025.
The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to DEWBERRY ENGINEERS INC. Digital copies will be available at no charge.
All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.
RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION
Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the County may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
