LEGAL NOTICE   City of Canton Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Canton, Stark County, Ohio, passed on the 2nd day of June, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on the 4th day of November, 2025, the following: “A replacement of a portion of an existing levy, being a reduction of 0.5 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the City of Canton for the purpose of parks and recreational purposes that the county auditor estimates will collect $6,375,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 4.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $158 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.’’ The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. Canton time, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
