LEGAL NOTICE   Navarre-Bethlehem Joint Fire District Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Navarre-Bethlehem Joint Fire District, Stark County, Ohio, passed on the 10th day of July, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on the 4th day of November, 2025, the following: “A replacement of 3.5 mills of an existing levy and an increase of 1 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of Navarre-Bethlehem Joint Fire District for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or sites therefor, or sources of water supply and materials therefor, or the establishment and maintenance of lines of fire alarm telegraph, or the payment of permanent, part-time, or volunteer firefighters or firefighting companies to operate the same, including the payment of the firefighters employer’s contribution required under section 742.34 of the Ohio Revised Code, or to purchase ambulance equipment or to provide ambulance or emergency medical services operated by a fire department or firefighting company that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,263,770 annually, at a rate not exceeding 4.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $158 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.” The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. Canton time, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
