NOTICE TO BIDDERS Electronic bids will be opened by the City of Aurora via an online Zoom meeting: Meeting ID: 828 9068 7319 Passcode: 44202 November 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. for the following item(s): WESTERLY TRUNK SEWER RELOCATION ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE: $ 1,070,224.50 The approximate quantities and type of work for this project for which proposals will be accepted consist of installing 1,194 feet of 20” Hobas FRP sanitary sewer (260 feet through a 36” steel casing bored and jacked), 12 feet of 18” RCP sanitary sewer, 4 feet of 8” PVC sanitary sewer, removing two existing manholes, installing seven new manholes, pavement repairs, tree clearing and maintenance of traffic. Due to the importance of not interrupting critical sanitary sewer routes, the use of temporary bypass pumping will be required. Flow diversion using tankers or vactor trucks may be employed. The City of Aurora will only receive Bids through the Bid Express website at https://www.bidexpress.com. All bid forms, contract documents, and plans are available through the Bid Express website. A fee of $50 will be incurred to bid electronically on a pay-per-solicitation basis; alternatively, vendors may subscribe for $60 per month to have access to all solicitations and email notifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio, by the bid opening date and time.
