PUBLIC NOTICE LAFAYETTE REGIONAL AIRPORT COLLECTION & DISPOSAL OF WASTE & RECYCLING MATERIALS - 2025   The Lafayette Airport Commission (LAC) is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified operators for collection and disposal of waste and recycling materials at the Lafayette Regional Airport for the following locations and contract. LAFAYETTE REGIONAL AIRPORT WASTE AND RECYCLING SERVICES LAFAYETTE REGIONAL AIRPORT (200 TERMINAL DRIVE) QUICK TURNAROUND FACILITY - QTA (133 FUEL DRIVE) LAC MAINTENANCE FACILITY (122 CHAPLIN DRIVE) The Lafayette Airport Commission (LAC) is seeking sealed written proposals from experienced and qualified commercial waste and recycling service providers to provide collection and disposal of waste and recycling materials Lafayette Regional Airport, Quick Turnaround Facility and LAC Maintenance Facility. The work contemplated under this Service Contract with the LAC includes all but not limited to personnel, labor, uniforms, supervision, fleet vehicles, fuel, disposal/environmental fees, necessary supplies, insurance, canisters, to fulfill the contract in accordance with the Specifications. Anticipated contract period is January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2030. Sealed proposals will be received in accordance with the Instructions to Proposers and must be received no later than Friday, November 14, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. CST by the LAC. Proposals received after the specified closing time will be returned to sender unopened. The Request for Proposals (RFP), which includes the draft contract and scope of services may be obtained at the administrative offices of the LAC, 200 Terminal Drive - Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70508, (337) 703-4800, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Each interested party requesting a printed RFP will be required to submit, to the LAC, a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to cover the cost of reproduction. Prospective Proposers who are interested in conducting a self-guided site visit are encouraged to do so. If a Terminal location site visit is needed, Prospective Proposers can park in short or long term paid lots. Parking in either lot is free for the first thirty (30) minutes. No site visits with LAC personnel will be conducted. The LAC reserves the right cancel this RFP, to waive any requirement stated in this RFP, to waive any irregularity or defect in any Proposal, to reject any or all Proposals, to re-advertise for Proposals, and/or to accept the Proposal which, in the judgment of the LAC, even though it does not offer the lowest direct financial expenditure, is nevertheless deemed the most advantageous for the public and the LAC, i.e., the most responsible Proposal. Each proposal must be accompanied by a proposal security (certified check, cashier’s check, bid bond) in the amount of One Thousand and No/Hundredths ($1,000.00) Dollars. MONEY ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If a bid bond is used, it must be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best’s Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to ten percent (10%) of policyholders’ surplus as shown in the A.M. Best’s Key Rating Guide or by an insurance company in good standing licensed to write bid bonds which is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents.   All proposers will be required to provide written certification that they will comply with the Lafayette Regional Airport security requirements.
