Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, passed on the 22nd day of July, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 2025, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, for the benefit of Franklin County for the purpose of the operation of mental health, alcohol, and drug addiction programs for children, adults, and families, including crisis, residential, and outpatient treatment programs, school and community based prevention programs, supportive housing, and recovery supports.
Tax being a renewal of a tax of 2.85 mills and an increase of 0.5 mills to constitute a tax of 3.35 mills at a rate not exceeding 3.35 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $74 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value, for 10 years.
The estimated annual collections of this levy is $115,709,160.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day.
