NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 ___________________________ Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Education of the Walnut Township Local School District of Fairfield County, Ohio, passed on the 25th day of June 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people of Walnut Township Local School District at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting, on Tuesday, the 4th day of November 2025, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, for the benefit of the Walnut Township Local School District for the purpose of providing for the emergency requirements of the district. Tax being a renewal tax of 1.4 mills that the county auditor estimates will collect $250,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.4 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $31 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for a period of 10 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
