NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 ___________________________ Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Trustees of Violet Township, Ohio passed on the 25th day of June 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of November 2025, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, for the benefit of the unincorporated territory of the Township of Violet for the purpose of the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges. Tax being a renewal tax of 1.5 mills that the county auditor estimates will collect $947,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $29 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for five years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
