Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Wayne County Commissioners, passed on the 11th day of June, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 2025 the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, for the benefit of the Wayne County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Ohio for the purpose of providing for the operation of community programs and services authorized by county boards of developmental disabilities, and for the acquisition, construction, financing, maintenance, and operation of developmental disabilities facilities, or for both such purposes. Tax being a renewal of an existing tax of 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $23 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for five years. The estimated annual collection of this levy is $2,976,112. The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
