NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-540, a special election shall be held in Augusta-Richmond County for the purpose of submitting to the voters the following question for approval or rejection:   "( ) YES   Shall the Act be approved which provides a                  homestead exemption ( ) NO       from Augusta-Richmond County ad valorem                  taxes for consolidated Government purposes in                  an amount equal to the amount by which the                  current year assessed value of a homestead                  exceeds the adjusted base year assessed value,                  including any final determination of value on                  appeal pursuant to Code Section 48-5-311 of                  the O.C.G.A., as amended, of such homestead?"   The special election will be held on November 4, 2025.   Anyone desiring to vote in this special election and who was not a qualified elector must have registered no later than Monday, October 6, 2025, at any of the approved voter registration sites in order to be eligible to vote. Inquiries regarding voter registration may be directed to the Richmond County Board of Elections, Suite 500, 535 Telfair St, Augusta, GA 30901   Advance voting will be held October 14, 2025 through October 31, 2025.   The polling places for holding said special election shall be the regular and established polling locations in Augusta-Richmond County.
