Notice of Election on Tax Levy
Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of Resolution Nos. 25-R-27 and 25-R-40 of the Council of the City of New Franklin, adopted on May 7, 2025 and July 16, 2025 there will be submitted to the electors of said city at the General Election to be held in said city at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 the question: “An additional tax to replace an expiring 5.75 mills tax for the benefit of the City of New Franklin for the purpose of the provision of fire apparatus, fire buildings, payment of firefighting, emergency medical service, fire administrative personnel and all other purposes permitted pursuant to ORC Section 5705.19(I) that the county fiscal officer estimates will collect $3,304,147 annually, at a rate not exceeding 5.75 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $201 for each $100,000 of the county fiscal officer’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2025, first due in calendar year 2026.” The polls for said election will open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
