NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Tippecanoe County Board of Commissioners, of the State of Indiana will receive sealed bids at the office of the Auditor, in the Tippecanoe County Office Building, 20 North Third Street, Lafayette, Indiana on or before 9:30 AM November 17, 2025, for the following Materials and Supplies for the use of the Tippecanoe County Highway and Sheriff’s Departments for a period beginning January 01, 2026 through December 31, 2026
GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Tippecanoe Room in the Tippecanoe County Office Building, 20 North Third Street, Lafayette, Indiana, commencing at 10:00 AM November 17, 2025.
All bids must be accompanied by (1) a Certified Check, payable to the Treasurer of Tippecanoe County, (2) a Bid Surety Bond with authority of the Attorney-in-Fact, payable to said Board of Commissioners, (3) a Letter of Credit, payable to said Board of Commissioners or (4) Cash, in an amount equal to Five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, guaranteeing the successful bidders performance and fulfillment of the contract
The Certified Checks, Letters of Credit, Cash or Bonds of unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of the contract to the successful bidder.
Specifications and forms for the same are on file in the TIPPECANOE COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT OFFICE, in the County Office Building, 20 North Third Street, Lafayette, Indiana 47901.
ALL PRICES MUST BE FIRM FOR THE TERM OF THE BID. (Unless affected by the IC 36-1-9-3.1)
EACH BIDDER MUST SPECIFY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ENVELOPE “FUEL BID”.
All bids will be awarded to the lowest and/or best responsive and responsible bidder. The Tippecanoe County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive, to the extent permitted by law, any of the terms, conditions or provisions contained in this Notice to Bidders, or any informality, irregularity, omission of any bid provided that such waiver shall, in the discretion of the Tippecanoe County Board of Commissioners, be to the advantage of Tippecanoe County.
Bids may be withdrawn prior to, but, no bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the day set for the opening of bids.
These materials and supplies are exempt from Federal Excise and Sate Sales Tax. Exemption Certification will be furnished.
