SECTION 001113 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS LaGrange Fire District Station No. 2 POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK SITE IMPROVEMENTS General Notice LaGrange Fire District is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: LaGrange Fire District Station 2 Site Improvements MJ Project No 1878.01 Sealed bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the LaGrange Fire District Station No. 2 located at 504 Freedom Plains Road until November 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM local time. At that time the sealed bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the reconstruction of the existing sewage disposal system, and other exterior site improvements. Add alternatives will be considered. The work is more fully described in the contract documents. To become a Registered Plan Holder and to obtain electronic copies of the Contract Documents, please visit the MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. Plan Room located at http://www.mjteam.com/bids. Only Registered Plan Holders will be allowed to submit a bid. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to Registered Plan Holders whose name and address are on record. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. The project requires phased completion with the septic system installation work to be substantially complete and deemed functionally operational on or before January 1, 2026. The remaining work included under this contract shall have a substantial completion on or before May 22, 2026, and ready for final payment by June 22, 2026. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis, with allowances and add alternates, if included. The envelopes containing the bids must be sealed and addressed to the LaGrange Fire District, 504 Freedom Plains Road Poughkeepsie, New York 12603 and must be designated as "Station 2 Site Improvements". Bids received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. Deadline for questions is 3:00 on November 12, 2025. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements for ensuring that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Owner, reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. The Owner is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Owner prior to incorporation into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract.
